John and Tom were nice enough to come out and fish with Jeff and me on a beautiful early spring day here on Chelan. We started early above the Narrows. When that slowed down, we pulled up and pounded the Upper Trench. It was a day of flurries of action. Didn't see large numbers of fish on the sonar, but at the end of the day, things turned out quite good. Mack's Cha Cha Squidders and Silver Horde's Ace Hi Flies worked best. Successful depths were all over the place. We got fish to bite from as shallow as 165 to as deep as 335 out on Jeff's ledge. Speeds of 1.3 and 1.4 seemed to trigger fish. Additionally, pounding the presentation into the bottom got them to bite.
