Arrived at the lake about 7:00 PM just in time to enjoy a marvelous sunset. Water temperature was about 62 degrees with little surface activity. Several bait chuckers along the dock and in boats dotted the obsidian surface of the lake not having much success at all. With no apparent hatch of abundance apparent, I sank a black bugger 20 feet down and hoped for the best. Several hours later and several patterns later, I left broken and defeated having caught not even a dopey sunfish. The lake had turned and not even bait fisherman could conjure up a strike. Some nights are like that. I'll just blame it on karma. Fish hard and always catch and release.
