Beautiful morning today with alternating sunny and cloudy conditions. Headed to Green Lake after hearing about the trout plant this week. Fished next to a couple of kind older gentlemen. They were using powerbait, to no effect. I threw a gold kastmaster and got 4 strikes, lost 3 at close range and landed only one nice planter rainbow, about 10 inches. Later in the day I landed another rainbow on a dropshot-rigged plastic worm. Two guys were in fly fishing from float tubes and had at least 3 hooks-ups while I was there. Couple of guys had singles from the shoreline. Wind picked up in the evening. Water temp was pretty cold, still at 45 degrees. Glad to be catching fish again, first time since December. Happy Spring fishing!
