Had the day off and hadn't planned anything. Went to my buddy johnny's to check out his new deck. Next thing you know we have the boat hooked up and we are headed for American lake. Got on the water about 12:00, the sun was warm but hte air was not. Sarted out drop shotting for perch around the island. But after 30 min gave up and decided to target trout. Located some trout after about an hour or so. All together we landed 4 trout, smallest was about 13" and all were fat. My last trout of the day was a huge triploid, Didnt measure it but it was at least 18", probably bigger. It was also very thick. I swear to god its bigger than it looks in the picture haha. Anyway probably the biggest trout in a lake I have ever caught weight wise anyway. I use 4lb test so I had to have johnny hold my rod while I bear pawed it out of the water, "We had no net." All in all a good day. All trout were caught on gulp eggs or worm under a slip bobber. Cell phone pic, sorry
