After talking to a boat angler who limited on brown trout the previous day, my wife and I decided to give the lake a try from shore on Sunday. We tried crankbaits, plugs, spinners and spoons without so much as a bite. A falling barometer may have been the culprit; as no one seemed to be catching fish. However, one angler and his wife had earlier caught a nice brown from shore with bait. None of the in-sight boats seemed to be catching fish either. Quit the "Zoo Scene" as the morning wore on with boat after boat launching and the "Hangover Crowd" showing up to squezze in on us and the very limited bank spots. We gave up after about two hours. Nonetheless, a beautiful day weather-wise; I'd advise trying it during the week from a boat.
