Spent 2 hours on Eloika Lake from 1145-200 today. Went in at Jerry's and was fishing in about 10ft of water(about 200ft out from shore). Ice was about 10 inches thick. Used a Silver and Bronze Swedish Pimple with red tab on bottom and a maggot on the end. Caught 1 perch (about 6") and a nice brown trout at 10 inches. Released both. Snow moved in and we left. First time ice fishing and had a blast, now looking for an auger cause cutting a whole with a ax is to much work. First lesson learned...

Thanks for the report! An auger definitely makes it easier, and if you really get into ice fishing you'll end up wanting a gas auger :).

I saw you hole and it was getting to be dangerous in size - please use an auger next time. I caught one decent perch and then some small perch, no trout. Weather was too good I think.
