Headed up to Cavanaugh after reading some reports from February 2011 and thought why not give it a try. Met a Co-worker of mine and his family at the launch. We were on the water about noon. Trolled with downriggers and various gear but no luck. Tried casting spoons for awhile also. Lots of fish feeding on the surface. Looked like fly fishing may have been the way to go for the cutthroat. Snowed pretty hard while we were fishing so we were wet and cold and called it a day about 3. All and all it was a pretty fun afternoon.
