What a beautiful day on Lake Chelan. I think that's the calmest water I have every been on there. We got to the launch a little after 7, and it was about 20 degrees with brisk east winds. Luckily, we were first to launch so the ramp wasn't icy yet. We headed up lake, and started drop-shotting for lakers in about 130 feet of water. We marked a ton of fish but it took awhile to get them to bite. We fiddled a little with bait size, hook size, and depth, and then started to get some bites. Once we got to 200 feet of water, and deeper, it was game on. Several times we had double hook ups, but could never land two at a time. We ended the day at about 1:30 p.m., with 10 lakers in the box, at least 5 lost on the way in, and missed at least 20 bites. I think we'll have the method about perfected by next trip, and if we get on a bunch of them like today, we ought to be able to fill the box. My vegetable soup is gonna become famous this year!
