Hit the lake for a few hours today from shore,stopped by and picked some baits and as always some good tips from greg and his wife at gregs tackle. tryed a mix of lures and bait fished with power bait,power eggs,marhmellow and worm. got some small released trout. when the lake was dead flat there was no bite, when the wind picked up blowing SW started getting a number of bite. Had one great hit. he slamed it and took drag and broke my 6 lb test. ther were a number of boats on the lake also fishing which i haven,t sen in a while. all in all was a great day out and was very relaxing.

I took the boat out for a picnic with wife, (the black Duckworth), trolled around but did not mark any fish until I got over by Wyatt Park. I think I had a couple of strikes close to the shore south of the park. I pretty much had the Kokanee figured out last spring, but need help with the trips and bows, any tips?
By the way, the water temp was 39.6 degrees, way too cold for the Kokes, looking forward to spring fishing on Lake Stevens, can't come soon enough!
