A friend and I fished Whatcom on 5-21. It was cold and windy, but we
quickly hooked a couple of nice smallies on gitzits in about 15 feet of
water while the bank blew by. His was about 5 lbs., mine maybe 2.5. I
got my money back on most fish. The killer was a small suspending
jerkbait, I ended up with 8 smallies and 4 small trout. He was intent on
the bigger fish on the gitzit and ended up with 3. Catch and release!
