Finally made it out for the first time after haveing the pleasure of becoming a father in Sept. All My friends couldn't have been more correct when they told me my life was in for a change!! It has been a really long time since I was out fishing, but I found it kind of like riding a bike, once you get it down you will never forget. Although the old mighty Lake was a bit of a challenge for me. Had a steady Breez coming from the east from when I got there till I left, making a relitivley fast drift, and boat control dificult. Ended up with two fish in the boat,(I can just taste the vegitable soup now) :-) and one missed while drop shoting as Lundeguard and I tried this last summer, in fact the last time I was on Chelan. A bit brisk out at a temp of 24, I'm sure it was colder with the breez, and water temp. was 43 degrees. I only fished from 8am till 11 am or so. Was great to just get back out. saw plenty of fish in the trench, depths that worked for me were 135-155, found some at 188FT too. Found that I wasn't quite geared up as I should have been, still have rods set up with mono from salmon season, Need to get that power pro back on the spools, thats what caused me to miss the hit while drop shoting. Had way to much sponge in the line, forget about setting the hook, had to real like the dickens to keep the ones that I got on. Not to many boats out, didn't see Joe, just two other boats I didn't recognize. Now I got the cobbwebs out, I will be adjusting a few things and I'll be back out soon (I hope) Be safe!! Sorry no photos, To busy keeping the boat under control. Later
