Arrived @9am and stayed until 4pm. Ice was about 7 inches thick. Fishing was slow with times as fast as you could get back in there, but mostly slow and steady. I caught 40-50 mixed bag - perch, bass, crappie and sunfish, mostly perch and bass. I kept 16. I used my ice shelter today and was very thankful for it, it kept the wind off of me and I was much more comfortable. I fished without gloves all day. Now if I only had a Vexilar fish finder.

Absolutely, the time and temperature that it takes to thaw that much ice is much longer and warmer.
