I left Blodell at 7:00 a.m. and ran all the way south. I started with the downrigger at 40 ft., a four bladed gang troll,16 in. of leader, and #8 baitholder with worm.
It was slow caught one 14 in. cutt. I started to see fish rise so I pulled up the downrigger and put on a wedding ring. This produced two more cutthroat 12-14 in. It was about 9:30 a.m. I decided to go back north. I was seeing fish at 60 ft. so back down I went. Five more cutthroat and three nice rainbows 12-16 in. I was beginning to wonder where the rainbows were. I have not found any kokanee yet, that is my goal. It was a good day on the water and all fish were released. That feels pretty good too. Go get em" boys it doesn't seem to matter were you fish on this lake.
