Trolled from 12:30 till 4pm. We were able to land 5 trout, 4 Browns and 1 Rainbow. Had a lot of bites though and lost a lot of fish getting them to the boat. This might be because we used needlefish which are a single hook lure. Son was using leaded line and pop gear. He lost one real nice Brown. On the retrieve, right after hooking him, the fish shot to the surface and threw the hook in a nice jump about 30 yards behind the boat. We might try a Krocodile next time which is the almost same lure, only with a treble hook. The bite really picked up after 3.

If the Needlefish is working just change the hook. If the hook is attached with a solid ring, cut it and use a split ring or duo-lock snap to attach any hook you want. I use Kahle type hooks or Octopus/Beak type hooks on the single hook rigs I build.
