My son and I made a short trip out to Jameson Lake this morning. We used power bait and were quickly rewarded with a couple of cookie cutter 12inchers. I wanted to make a quick trip out to Banks Lake to check on the water level and snap a couple of pictures so we packed up and headed for Banks. Only a few bank fishermen were present on Jameson this morning and we only saw two boats on the water. It sounded like most folks were limiting within an hour or so using power bait. The weather was a little on the cool side with intermittent showers which worked well to keep the large numbers of fishermen at home this morning. We had a good time chatting and watching our Golden retriever take her last few swims for the year.
