After being outfished by my wife this morning at Thunder Lake in Whatcom County (I would have submitted this part in its own report, but there is no place for a Thunder Lake report. Anyway,she caught 3 cutthroat, the largest a 13 incher, while I only caught one.They bit lightly on worm & marshmallow.), we headed to Lake Stevens for some perch fishing. I had headed to Wyatt Park a little over a week ago, but didn't like the parking fee, so I tried a little place on the other side of the lake. Knocked them dead, and some were really good size. Tried the little spot again today, and between the two of us, we caught 27. Truth be told, they fought, many of them, more than Thunder's cutthroat.Avoided the rain at Thunder, and had warm sunshine at Stevens.A fine day, except for cleaning the perch- or, as McManus calls it,"The revenge of the perch."
