I got the pleasure of fishing with Mark Kokanee_Slayer in his new 16 foot Hewscraft Sunday morning.
We started fishing about 7am. I got my first one shortly after that. The first hour we had several bites and more than half our limit. About 8 am it slowed down and we went looking for the pockets of fish. We never got any doubles but we got our limits in just under 2 hours. The water temp was 63 and we had the downriggers set at between 13 and 30 feet. The water was like glass and it was just overcast with the weather forecast changing to rain in the evening. Mark used a Bahama mama and a squid most of the time with corn and maggots. I used a yellow Sepps dodger that had red splatters on it with a lure I made and will be on my website soon and I was using shoepeg corn and green Berkley maggots. The fish were 13 and 14 inches. It was a good morning and I really appreciate Mark taking me catching!

Way to go Toni, you have American Lake dialed in. We may fish kokanee this upcoming weekend but as usual this year, it will have to be a last minute decision. Where did summer go? Thank you for the report and always look forward to reading about your adventures.

Thank you everyone, but, well, I hooked the fish but Kokanee_Slayer netted, and steered us into the fish. So he should get 2/3rds of the credit. I did write up a report. Maybe that gets a 1/8th? ;-) Too much math ;-)
