The weather was cloudy, somewhat cool and showered both days. Trolled the first morning with small dark colored spoons and spinners and caught nothing. That evening we fished from the bank with power bait by the ranger station and caught one rainbow about 11 inches. Next day we took Pelicans advice and used Uncle Wes's green beads with the black blade and baby nightcrawlers. Wasn't in the water more than 15 minutes when I hooked into a beautiful 15 inch cutthroat. A half hour later the weather took a turn for the worse and so did the fishing as we trolled for another two hours with no success. It really didn't bother me though as no one else was catching fish either. Decided to call it a day and be happy with my cutt. By the way, tons of snails in the fishes belly. Probably why the fish aren't biting well. Sleep late and think natural on this lake. BIG THANKS TO PELICAN!!
