After being blown off the Sound in the morning, I decided to give the Lake a shot and at the very least de-salinize the boat. I ran up to the north side of the 520 bridge and set up gear that I thought might entice a coho. I ran a Cut Plug with flasher most of the day between 45' and 100' down at speeds between 1mph and 3mph. No luck at 520 and the same for Evergreen Point, the only positive thing I found was that there were some massive bait balls in the area. Could have switched set-ups and targeted cutts, however, I really want to crack the the coho bite on this lake! Surface temps took a nose dive from the last time I was out and sat at around 67 degrees in most areas I fished. The wind was pretty stiff, but more manageble than what I encountered in Shilshole Bay. Thermocline is right at 45' to 50' in this area, pretty normal for this time of year. Time to troll the edges in that depth for some plus sized perch and hungry cutts.

Thanks for the update I have been wanting to get a coho out of the lake for some time as well. So any information is helpful. I called the locks today and only 3400 passed by and only expecting a 12,000 run. However last week when I called they said they were expecting 22,000. At any rate I will be giving it a go here next week so maybe we'll get one.

I was out bass fishing last Wednesday and Thursday in the afternoon and saw jumpers between Arrowhead and Kirkland. These fish were pretty much on the transision in about 30 to 40 feet before if drops off. They looked pretty bright.
