My dad was watching football today (usually I'm interested it's just the Colts are terrible this year) so my mom dropped me off at Larson for 2 hours today. I started off throwing everything I had. Lipless crankbaits, buzzbaits, weedless frogs, spinner baits, topwaters, and shad raps. Nothing. Went and fished of the dock and talked to a couple guys. 1 was crappie fishing, the other was keeping fish. The guy who was keeping was catching pumkimseed sunfish. You could tell he wanted some fish to eat. I thought to myself I gotta catch this guy a bass. The guy hooks up with something big and it's pulling out drag so I offer to net it for him. When he got it to the dock it was a turtle! I net him and take the hook out and we throw him back. I'm walking out to leave and I saw a perfect place to throw a weedless rigged senko so I do. I take my last lucky 3 casts. On the 3rd cast I see my line go from slack to tight as the senko sinks so I set the hook on a big fish. He wraps me around the lilly pads 3 times but the fish stays on and the lilly pads break. The fight was still on. I net him, take some quick pics, and run all the way back across the lake to give him to the guy whos keeping fish. I estimate the bass was 3-4 pounds. The 2 guys looked at it and you could tell they were amazed so I gave it to them, wished them a happy dinner, said bye, and left. The only reason this report is a 5 is because the size of the 1 nice bass I did catch. I'll definatly be back next weekend.

really? wth? giving away a big bass to someone to eat? when bass get big they aren't even good eating, the meat gets all tough. plus the water in that pong isn't exactly clean.. that lake needs to have the dinks weeded out, not the few big ones..

I did kinda think bout that once I got home, I rarely keep any fish for myself except for crappie. But when theres people keeping fish I often give the fish to them. I just wanted was the guy to be able to have a dinner out of more than a few dinky sunfish.
