Started about 7:30am, water temp at 65 degree's. Lost a real nice on at the boat right after we started. Bite didn't really pick up until about 9:30am, then the action was on lost at least 6, all really good fighter's. I believe the reason I was losing them is I wasn't playing them out enough, was losing them right at the boat and they still had plenty of fight left in them. Finally managed to boat 4 and called it a day at 11:30 am. After the bite started it was pretty non stop action. You will only get maybe 2 hit's and if you don't set the hook, you better check your worm. Pole holder's are definitely out hang onto your pole and be on the ready. Seen to many folk's out there putting there pole's in the holder's and missing opportunity after opportunity or just not seeing the strike's. Best to hang onto your pole. I used an Uncle Wes with a Black Blade and Green Bead's with 1 oz. of weight and about 40 pulls or approx 80' back. They are scattered all over the lake and a fish finder will be of great help. Once you run into them you will have plenty of action. But like I said they are all over so be on the ready and play them out before you try and land them. The fish today were planted as fry a couple of year's ago and were real bright and well formed fin's ranging from 11" to 14". Good Luck.
