Yesterday I went back down to the Duwamish under 1st ave bridge and got my first ever skunk on the pinks. Since the boat was loaded up I thought I would try to redeem myself on some bass. Whitman is the closest so thats where I went.
I only had a couple hours so I arrived about 6 and fished til 8. I caught a pounder on a torpedo then my braid got tangled and I was too lazy to mess with it so I swithced to another pole with a 5 in. black senko and got four more pounders and one about 3lbs. I told myself the "one more cast" saying and got the big one.
No water temp. But the fish were warmer than the air and I had the lake to myself. I also forgot my camera so I took a picture of my phone when I got home so the pic sucks.

On a side note: I was have trouble casting an older bait caster (Shimano Calcutta) so I swithced out the two plastic bearings on the centerfuge braking system and it casts like new. They were barley even dirty, but it was enough to foul the system. If any body is having trouble with their reel I would suggest swapping those out.

A picture is worth a thousand words, good or bad. Thanks for the report.

Amen to switching reels. Even the mid priced bait casting reels have gone centerfuge now. Though it doesn't do away with backlashes by over powering a cast, it is light years ahead of the old bait casting reels. I was raised around the Whitman, Twin, Tanawax, Kapowsin Lake area, and spent countless hours fishing them all as a kid. One thing that still amazes me is that they have never put a speed limit on that lake, much less made it a no combustible engine lake. It just takes one water skiier to screw things up. Because the lake is so small, the power boats are doing a continual circle around the lake, and in your face every two or three minutes....Crazy.
