Spent 11 hours on Mayfield today. Saturday. Water temp started out at 58 and ended up at 64. Not a very good way to start the day. Water temp is still to cold for my liking. My bud and I put a fat 27" inch tiger in the net. that was it. Saw a ton of fish again. Just are not active at all.
Lots of boaters out today including one numb- skull that tied - up his boat on the active side of the dock and left the area and the boat for 20 minutes. So basically blocked one of the ramps. Goof- ball. Remember folks remember boat launch edicate. If you need to get your trailer and rig tie up your boat on the mooring side. Its just the right way to do it. Think about the others rather than just yourself.
Pull your boat/trailer out, get out of the way to tie down and wipe off your pretty boats please. And quit screwing up the flow of the boat launch please..Off my soap box now. Tapps on Sunday yea..Todd

Tigers don't have a problem with those temps Todd! You just need to throw big crank baits and bring them in slow, twitch them.... I would almost rather have the cold water problem than the warm water we have. Too many boaters and numb skulls on jet skis.... If given the choice, I'll take cold water any day over the other boat traffic.... My day on Silver was not exactly fast paced. Saw 2 tigers. Water was 67 to start and by mid afternoon it was up to 71. Lots of people on the water, making a constant set of wavers bashing me around..... Kind of sucked....

Not sure about that Doug. The temp thing. Maybe it was the 4 ft drop of the lake too. I did think it would be ok. But Mayfield is constantly being filled and lowered and filled with cool water. I know I didnt jump into it when it turned 80 yesterday. I tried cranks, bulldawgs and spinners. slow..fast and in between. That lake has been not-so-good this year anyway. The trout fishing has been fantastic thats for sure. They are active in cool water. Got 4 tigers today at Tapps. Water temp was 70-71...there. IDK....I was pleasantly surprised by the not-so-busy as i thought on the metro lake today...See ya Doug, Todd
