Took my boat to Enatai park and stealthily, yet legally, carried it to the left of the dock to avoid paying a fee anywhere else on the lake, as I think that's rediculous. My friends and I started out jigging real small 1-inch grubs on 1/32 oz leadheads, finding some success in the perch department. We decided to be lazy and just troll these suckers around a bit north of the I-90 bridge, still more small perch. Hey, nothing wrong with small perch. But it was game time. I tied on a crawfish-pattern crankbait to my ten-pound line and dragged it around under the bridge. Boy am I glad I stepped up from six pound. This thing took a out good bit of line off of me nonetheless. Also caught another little bass on the crank and one more baby perch on a big roostertail. Had fun, 8 perch in the boat and two bass, we all caught fish, but more importantly, nobody drowned.
P.S. I'm still new to this catching fish from a boat thing, any of you WaLakers want to come out on the lake with me and my buddies sometime?
