Fished Scualicum (Squalicum) lake yesterday. There was a lot of chop on the water and the water was fairly murky and cold. We had four hook-ups and two landed. All fish were 12" and smaller and caught on a back troll.
We looked at the creel reports for the last few months. Most fish were cutthroats and most fish were less than a foot long. These reports even included the productive fall months. This lake does have some good vegetation in it, but I don't believe that there is much size to them. Per the last message to this board regarding this lake, I wouldn't go as far as to say this is the "..BEST fly fishing lake ever," but the scenery is nice...
