Cutthroat Trout

I fished in August from the 15th through the 22nd. I used
a downrigger with a chartreuse 1/8 oz Thomas eel. I set the
down rigger for about 60 degrees F which varied by about 3'
from 25' to 28'. I was told I wouldn't catch anything
so I wasn't too optomistic.

I can't say fishing was great, but I had never caught a
cutthroat before and I caught fish every day. Unfortunately,
they were all native (can't be kept)cutthroat and most were
about 9" to 11". I did get one 14" cutthroat which was my
goal halfway through the week.

I primarily concentrated my efforts in the North end of the
lake. My best success came late morning and dusk.

I did catch something that was very small, 5' that looked
like an Atlantic salmon, but I'm doubtful. If anyone knows
what it was, please let me know.
