Got to the lake around 6:45pm, and was out on the water by 7. Couple of shore fisherman had a few perch- nothing special. One did say he had seen a 5lb LM pulled out of the lake a few weeks ago however. So this got me excited.

Unfortunately, I was not able to get a pig like that, but I did manage to bring in 2-3 smaller LM. Nothing spectacular or picture worthy, but better than getting skunked. Went around the docks and lily pads twice. Pretty much fished with the light green 4" Senko rigged weightless until dusk, then tried a white/ green spinnerbait. All fish caught on the Senko. Few other nibbles here and there, but no huge strikes.

Also seen 3 kids fishing from one of the docks, and they had been there since lunch time. 14 fish total they said, one of them being a 10" LM. Mostly perch though. Fishing with jigs.

Great report, seems to be a late bloomer for lmb. Caught some decent sized bass last year with one 4lb being the biggest by far. This year has been much slower but they're in there. Somewhere, lol.

That is just it- somewhere! But where? And what will they bite? lol

Same with Bitter Lake....heard there are some bigger fish, but have yet to hook one. Still fun trying and beats the crap out of being at work.
