After watching the Blue Angels in Leschi, I had the itch for some fishing. I hit Washington for an hour, nothing picture worthy so I started looking for new places to fish on Union. I went to Gasworks. I've fished there a bunch and never caught much but I figured what the heck. My first cast, as soon as my crankbait felt like it was smacking the bottom, my line began to run but it felt like It was just hitting a lot of rocks. I casted a country miles so the fish was on for about a minute before I realized it was a fish. I stopped realing because something felt funny then she jumped and I was like... what??? The smallie really started to fight when she sawl me. There was no where to land the fish so my only choise was to horse her over the rail which made me very nervous because I couldn't tell how big she way. Luckily my 10ibs mono berkley vanish held up. The fish was somewhere in the 3-4ibs range I believe. I wish I would of caught her in the spring, she would be a monster. That fish was lengthy! Either way, she was my first nice fish in a month or 2. Tight lines everyone!

That's the biggest one I've seen posted this year coming from Lake Union. And you're right, full of eggs it would have been a pig. Still, nice fish. Congrats
