I did not go fishing today. This is about my report on July 31,2011 Crayfish. Sorry guys could not answer your questions right away. To catch crayfish I use crayfish&shrimp trap/pot. You can buy me in different stores .I like Pro Fishing Tackle & Marine Store- Anglers Choice. Ballinger Way and 15th ave NE. Very good store and very nice people. They have really good stuff. For bait I use salted herring ,salmon meat. Works to catch crab, shrimp and crayfish. I live in North Seattle for more than 15 years. You can find crayfish in every river, lake or even small pond. I like catching them in Washington Lake- Log Boom Park, Sammamish river West off 68th in Kenmore and Magnuson Park. 3 - 10ft deep of water. When we boil them (lobster, crab, shrimp or crayfish) we use beer, yes beer.it's very old,old recipe. You have to decide- what kind of beer you wanna use. Which kind of beer will work for you. I use Budweiser,Heineken, Corona, Alaskan. Some times 50/50 - beer and water. Just improvise, and you'll create your own recipe.Good luck to all, and thank you guys. I may be totally off on this but I want to make sure that folks are seeing something that is proper and not be influenced by a good catch to possibly do something illegal. It is really hard to judge size on those crawdads but if the big one in the forefront is about 6 inches, then perhaps some of the others are undersized? Minimum size for Signal Crawfish is 3 1/4". I really really don't want to rain on the parade but that trap does not seem to have the required escape cord either. Is that entirely legal? I do wish my traps would catch a good number of craws like that though. Great job.

Also be aware of the warnings at the Boat Ramps with regards to eating fish and shellfish out of lake Washington. They have guidelines as to how much we should eat, and it's interesting as I thought Lake Wa. was pretty clean.
