The wife and I launched at daylight, well, actually before daylight. Fished pretty hard east of the Alder launch around the south half of the island and then through the bays to the far east. Seen at least 20 bass, a few of which were guarding fry.
Had one bite on a Upton's Reaper in ghost color, a largemouth under 2 pounds. Lost it on it's first jump. That was the action for the day. Was done fishing by 10:30. You know, if you fish any longer than that on nice days you may never get your boat out. There was a line of incoming boats at least 7 deep. I got lucky and a nice lady let me slip in and get my boat out.
Water temp. 66.
