Wake up at 2:30 this morning and picked up one of my fishing buddy and by 3am we were on the road. Launched the boat @5:20 after waiting in line and after 10 minutes we were fishing with 2 rods on the right downrigger (my side) and 1 on the left. After 40 minutes of no activity the top right rod (@15’) start to dance, then almost simultaneous the bottom right one(@30’) same thing. Double fish in the boat. After 2 quiet hours we lowered the rods down in 30’ and 50’ and bam, the right 2 rods dancing again. Double again in the boat. We had another take down we missed and that was it. Out of the water by 10am. We ended up with 2 fish @5lb, and 2@ 8lb. We used same standard gear like everybody else. Slow morning I would say, we saw fish being caught but not many. Many boats fishing, lot of zig-zags between the boats, but not too bad for the first time on baker. Beautiful lake. Tight Lines.
