Well my fishing partner couldn't go so I headed out solo for a few hours of relaxation, ha! The Perch just would not let me relax. Heya Alex look what you missed... Les there are still Perch to be had in this lake, work the shoreline and slow jigging. Klahowya!

Heya Dave, this method works just about anywhere. Use a small jig say 1/16oz or 3/32oz if you can find em, of course I use Dons Dandy Crappie jigs 1/16oz and if you want you can put a small piece of worm on the hook just for flavor and scent. I am more a purist and like to use no bait but it definitely helps. Throw in to the shore or weedline and let the jig drop to the bottom lift and reel a time or two and drop, watch your line as you drop 90% of your hits will be on the drop. Keep moving along the shoreline and work your way all around the lake, you will catch Perch. Lift, drop, reeel sloowly, again, again, bam! Keep your hooks sharp and your fun meter full..

BMGW: Thanks for the advice. I'll take any I can get and obviously, you're an expert at it! Now I just have to show I've learned something and be able to post a pic of my own, showing a perch or two! I used to catch them all the time as a kid, but that was back east, and the fishing was different. Thanks again.
