I went up to Baker Lk to check out the camping and lake conditions on Weds. The water level is at least 50ft down from full and it's very difficult to launch a boat anywhere but at the dam. Don't expect to camp anywhere near the water unless you have a 4X4 and don't mind camping out in the open lake bottom amoung the stumps. There are several roads that go out onto the lake bottom that can be safely driven with a car, but be very carefull as I could see many places where people tried to turn around and became stuck. I did manage to make it out to the water and wet a line for about 45 min with no bites. I spoke to a couple trolling and they hadn't caught anything. It is interesting to see a large lake that low and to get an idea of the bottom structure where you have fished in the past. I may go back up this weekend camping, so I'll send in a full report when I get back.
