Got to the lake about 815 or so and left at 130. It was raining when I got there. There were a few trout guys out, but no bassers. Fishing was pretty slow, I caught a nice bow about 17 inches d-shottin a berkley minnow in perch color and a 1.6 smallie on a green grub a few hours later. They were both in about 17 ft of water. I also caught a couple perch.
Anywhere shallow, I only catch smallies about 9in. then when I move deep I can't find any consistent fish. I fished earlier in the week also from about 4am to 7am and caught a bunch of small fish also. maybe next time!
I saw some guys cut a tree down across the lake that fell in the water. It was a pretty big. Not sure if that is legal, even with permits to clear the land. It would be nice to tow it out to the deep end and sink it thow. The lake needs some new structure, all the deep stuff is mud.
Also, I'm pretty sure I saw one of the local kokanee guys leaving, when I got there, then when I was leavin, he was leavin again? I have seen him every time I have been there and I think he gets a limit every time. Those are serious charges though so I will leave it at that because I don't know if he had a limit the first time I saw him. I don't know why you would leave to eat lunch, then come back.
Plus I unknowingly put a hole in my boat dropping out of my truck. I had to back my truck(dodge 1500) into the water so i could pull my boat in. I'm glad I took my waders because of the crapy weather.
I released the bow. Water was 69. I fish from 4ft to 35ft.

No, but that truck was there. I won't say the truck until i'm sure. I waved to him when he was headin in the second time and he just looked away. Not sure if he thought I would remember him. He told guys at launch he had a limit using corn the second time.

Been to Clear Lake several times. The little smallies can be a pest in the shallows. If going to deeper banks, the lake fishes pretty small. Really small if there's a few more bassers out there.
