Went out to green lake today for a few hours...Did not see much, talked to a few guys that had no luck either...I fished on both of the docks. Talked to a few of the Russian guys that fish daily and they said its been really dead, and they are now going for carp. One interested thing I did see, what a huge catfish dead. The catfish was laying outside of the water, and the bugs were having a party... I'm gussing either somone planted this catfish there to make some type of hype?, or it was caught and left there? Does greenlake have huge catfish? I know they have big bass..

according to surveys of the lake done a long time ago, yes there are channel catfish. http://www.friendsofgreenlake.org/fish.html Not to say that that particular specimen wasn't a hoaxed plant... could be a government conspiracy to get people to try to fish for catfish or vote republican.

I think I saw that carcass your speaking of. Is it fileted on the side the maggots are feasting on? Fish is somewhere in the 24" size c;lass, very dark like a carp. No darker than a carp? If so, that is one fowl smelling, ripe, rotten hunk o' carnage sun bathing on the shoreline. Wait until some dog owner's dog rolls around on that mound of mushy flesh. A spray from a skunk might be an improvement.

BackWater Basser..... Amen Brutha on the catfish report from 10/23/06! I actually have that on my desktop at work. That is a mutha of a catfish for Greenlake. I didn't figure that anyone else looks that farther back in the records.

Correct, motoboat it's really really nasty... I have a picture of it on my my phone, but I will not be uploading it because it's too nasty. Yes we did see the same one, so I'm gussing there are some big boy catfishes out there.. I don't think it was planted there...
