Oops, forgot to date my other Banks report as July 9.

OK, on to today. If you read my other report, I was going on a little over 3 hours sleep, a 5 hour drive and 10 hours of fishing. Finally got to bed around 11:00 last night and woke up to the birds singing at 4:36 a.m. this morning.

Packed up and me and my kid took off for Northup Canyon launch or whatever it is called.

Got the boat in at around 5:45 and just fished around the bay near the launch. After yesterdays debacle, any fish today would have been welcomed. On advice of a fishaholic, who has fished here before, decided to go with topwater for LMB and top water only.

Using a Seville perch colored popper, I hit two fish in the first 1/2 hour. Both just right at 2 pounds. 45 minutes later I got another around 2.5 pounds. Fished for another hour and then took off.

So, from a skunk (for all intents and purposes) to three fish in 2 hours was pretty cool, so, not a great day but giving it a three rating based on that premise.

Loaded up and drove home. Unloaded and cleaned everything up. All is in order. 4:40p.m. Sunday afternoon and still going on only 8 or 8 1/2 hours sleep since Thursday night.

Planning my next trip already as I have a lot to learn, lol, I thought it would be easy to catch fish in this lake:)

Sorry about blurry pictures.

Atleast you got something to take a picture of Arnie :-)
An adventure with the kid is better than not...even if it doesn't live up to expectations....gj.

Everyone knows how many bass Banks can kick out in a day. And that's what makes those scarse days that much more frustrating. We've all been there, even on Banks.

Yup. I've been skunked on that big beautiful lake too, and I've been fishing it for 50 years! Ohmygosh! I'm that old?!?!
