Pretty good day of fishing with overcast skies...caught 5 total with the two pics being the best fish. Saw two smack the water by the pads and have a hog follow a swimbait but shyed away at the last minute. Lake is really starting to green up so may have to change up the jerkbait color or try a new lure or something.

All in all, wasn't too bad of a day. All fish released....oh yeah, on bass had two adipose fins! Hahaha!!!! I think it was one from The Simpsons!

Love to hear of catch and release of bass, especially on little lakes. Nice pics and story.

E.L.F.-Yeah, it has been....everytime I have gone which has been several times over the last few weeks, I haven't posted because it has been about 4 bass each time. Always seem to be the same type of fishing out there....need better access. Other than that, I am sure there is some hawgs in there!

EPA!!! when you sent me the photo text of the double adipose fin I just kinda laughed as I guessed that fish came from Waughop. To all those that keep fish from this lake, I hope you have good health insurance.........

How do you get them to lie so still for the photo before you release them?

I just layed it on the ground and snapped a shot. As soon as that pic was shot, it flipped all over and I put it back in the lake...
