Hit Liberty on Monday around 5:30am to fish for a few hours before the 4th of July boat traffic got too busy. Water temps were in the high 60's and very calm conditions. Threw some topwater but no real response other than the one in the first photo. Don't know what that fish was thinking but it definitely wanted my lure.
Started seeing some traces of the summer pattern but still a bit early. Hit the fish seen in the second photo about a foot off of a deep transition area. Tail was pretty beat up so looks like possibly some bedding activity, went around 3.75lbs.
Got off the water around 9am.
