My firends and i spent the day at lake easton and wanted to do some fishing. We started out with bottom fishing and using power eggs but got no bites. So we went to the enctrance of the state park and fished off that shore with a spinner and my friend, (buddystebily) caught a 9" bull trout on the first cast. Went back to bottom fishing to try to get something bigger, but no luck. What i recommend is going to easton pond instead of easton lake because we left there at around 5 pm and caught 7 fish, 2 that were keepers. They were all rainbow trout and legal to take home. So if your heading to eaton lake for fishing, dont and instead go to easton pond.

Hello!

I was wondering if you could elaborate on the pond a bit more. I'll be camping at Lake Easton this weekend with other families and was thinking of bringing some fishing gear for the kids. I've read the previous reports on Lake Easton and thought it was a pretty dead lake fish-wise. But the part about the pond really got me interested so if it's easy to find it might be worth it to bring the gear.

Thanks! :)

The pond is on the other ide of the highway and yes the fishing is better there. just look on a map.
