Good weekend of fishing on Riffe with the boys, Chuck, Noel and The Chad. We split time between trolling and stationary fishing from the boat.

Trolling:
We launched everyday from the Mossyrock Park boat lauch and primarily trolled the area from outside the lauch to maybe 3 miles past...back and forth...using a 5" dodger with a pink hoochie both hooks tipped with worm, and 3/4 oz cannonball on a sliding swivel. Caught landlocked cohos here and there...enough to keep the interest...biggest ones were in the 13 - 16" range (posted a couple of pics). The biggest one was caught with a Brad's Wiggler, medium size (dives to 10-15' I think), colored like a rainbow trout...going towards the concrete look out tower near the Swofford Pond overflow. The Chad did have a nice landlocked Coho on just feet away from the boat until it shook off...looked like another 16-18"er...he was using a Mepps spinner (red and gold) pretty much at the surface.

Stationary:
We hit up the "islands" near the Swofford Pond overflow...drifting with the wind all over the place. Managed to hit a few Smallies using Rapalas.

Good times....great campsite...we'll be back.

Good report. We love the campsite down there, and the pancakes in the morning are incredible down at the store.

Yes, great campsite on the west end of the lake...boat launch is there. The campground is run by Tacoma Power & Utilities or something like that. And oh yeah...Go Patriots!
