We hit up the north end of Moses Lake today for a little Carp Killing in a very target rich environment. We spent between four and five hours dropping the hammer on the big slimy buggers. The weather was fantastic in the low 80”s with sporadic light breezes. The Carp are spawning so the water is really muddy with only two to three feet visibility but that didn’t seem to slow the opportunities to poke a little fish flesh. I stuck probably five or six and my buddy, (pictured) that’s much better with a bow than I am, ended the lives of upwards of forty Carp today. After fighting a finicky bow mount most of the day and a flat tire on the boat trailer without a spare on the way home we decided to go for a redo next weekend. I’ll either have to work real hard this week on my shooting stance or I’ll remember to wear a long sleeve shirt to help avoid the string slap to my forearm, Ouch…
