Went to Banks for an afternoon, since I had to go to Ellensburg. Hey, that's most of the way from Yakima... Isn't it??
41 smallmouth, 6 largemouth. Smallmouth were mostly on crawfish colored tubes, largemouth on topwater. Range from tiny to 19 inches on the smallmouth, and 14" to 20" on largemouth. The largemouth actually outfought the smallmouth for the most part. Odd. Mixed pre, mid and post spawn. 2 good crappie and some Banks standard perch on my second rod. Had one largemouth hit a sunfish on the way in, but the hook was too small for both. Don't worry though, I landed the sunfish! Lotsa fun! Very few boats for some reason. Gas prices?
