Hit the lake at 9:30 AM and trolled a trolled to the far end of the lake without any success. After an hour, I tried using a Silver Ribbed/Red Doc Sprately and almost immediately had strike from a 14 1/2 in rainbow. This was the only fish until I switched the fly to a Yellow/Green Woolly Bugger and then things got very active. Caught 12 fish yesterday between 13 to 18 inches.

Last year while fishing, I had a nice fish nearly at the side of the boat when a eagle came from my backside and latched onto the fish. Yesterday, nearly the same thing happen except this time it was a 2 banger. With the fish nearly at the boat, the fish made a move to dive down and fortunately it did because as the fish dove and eagle once again came from the my backside and temporily hovered over the spot where the fish had just dove. As the eagle began to depart, the fish came to the surface and then a second eagle made a swipe at the fish.
Both eagles left the immediate area, however after landing the fish I noticed a gash on the side of the fish caused by the talons of the second eagle.
So a word of caution when attempting to bring in a fish, look skyward for meal searching predators.
