I started fishing with a large nickel dodger with a Wannafish A Lure Bloody Mary and for bait, corn and Berkley Maggot. Before I put it on the clip I had a fish. Since I was so close to the launch I thought for sure it was a rainbow. But no it was a Bass! I could not believe it so I snapped a picture.
I put the Pink Splatter dodger from Dick Nite on with the Wannafish A Lure Pink Ice for the other rod, bait was corn and Berkley maggots. I fished with both rods. I lost track of how many fish I had to the boat. I got stuck about 8:30 without a bite until 9 when I thought about what may have changed. Well, it was not completely cloudy anymore. The sun was peeking around the clouds. So I took off the Pink Ice set up and put on a 50/50 dodger with my 50/50 lure. I was pulling out the line, counting and at about 25 my line went slack. A Kokanee hit the lure and came towards me causing the line to go slack. I had several hits on that lure as it was going out. So I got them at surface (or very close) to 18 feet. I think the deepest water I was in was about 37 feet. I got most of my fish trolling around the first 2 buoys to the left as one comes out from the launch.
It was a good day catching. I came home with my limit of Kokanee in 2 hours.
