My brother and I went to Dolloff for a few hours and trolled for trout. The trout were not biting consistently but when they did they were super aggressive and larger than I expected. We caught 5 trout trolling and the smallest was around 10in and the rest were right at 12 inches. One surprise was we were trolling in the middle of the lake and I got a hit. Started reeling in and the fish didn't fight at all. When we netted it I discovered it was a 6 inch bass. Has anyone heard of a bass striking a wedding ring in the middle of a lake? I thought it might be a sick or confused bass but I enjoyed claiming I caught two species! Pic is of the confused bass.
