Got my haircut after work in Renton area, I always have a fishing rod and some tackle in the back seat throughout the summer months.

Anyway, I decide to stop by Coulon Park for smallmouth action. 10 mins in, bam, nice smallie on. First of the season!

Finished with 3 (c&r). 1 smallie, 1 rock bass, and 1 dink (smallie).

Fished for about 1hr 30 min

Hopefully the pic loads and does not look to bad (phone camera)

I'm sure that smallie you caught swam away real well after flapping on a hot sidewalk. Looks very much more like a rockfish to me.

Steelhead6438 - it's a smalie, I have never caught rock bass that size in Lake Washington. The picture quality is not that good, on cell phone camera.

I un-hooked it & got it back in water 2mins or less
