Hit up walker yesterday for a change of pace. Arrived around 0930 to drizzly and windy conditions and a water temp around 61F.
Tried bobber fishing for a while, but it was too windy so I took out the trusty chartreuse wedding ring and began trolling. I was getting bit consistently on the north side of the lake in 25-35' of water. I ended my day at 1400 with a total of 5 walker lake planters and 1 rockbass (I lost about 6 or 7 fish as well). The action isn't as hot as it was a couple weeks ago, but still consistent. The problem being the fish are starting to get a bit wormy. A WALakes member was kind enough to help me ID the worm as most likely a copepod. They are starting to bruise the meat, so I won't be keeping any more out of here until the water cools down or they appear to be clean.
