Same tactics as yesterday. Got 8 more rock bass tonight (most caught between 7 and 8pm. Purple was the hot color tonight...Actually, I'm not sure if the colored made any difference. Both black and purple have been good colors in the evening lately. The rock bass were about the same size maxing out at about 6 inches. All rock bass were C&R'd.
Winds were relatively high for an outing on an inflatable kayak. Difficult to do stationary fishing. Water temperature was warm to the touch through out the lake so it was great for the rock bass, but I got a feeling the trout went deep to cooler waters. The surface temp must've been at least 70 degrees. Swimmers were jumping off docks on both sides of the lake. Great fun catching the little fishies on the fly!
