Came to the lake around 7:30pm, spent an hour here. Nothing. I don't even see any fish rising. Frankly it's a miracle if any fish existed in this lake. The water should be heavily polluted by the chemicals used by the blue berry farm. Rain washes them down to nowhere else but this Larsen Lake.

I have caught 1000s of fish out of Blueberry Lake. There are still fish in the lake, the reason there's not very many is because for several years back in the early 80s and 90s people would come down there and take bucket fulls home. Crappie, Bass and Catfish. I grew up with that lake in my back yard and watched people from other countries take everything they could out of it, size didn't matter.

Ohh come on guys, I have picked blueberries there and I thought they were certified organic so I am not so sure about the chemical story, and the worst thing you can do for Crappie is to NOT fish the heck out of em. A Crappie will get to slab size 12" and larger in only 4 years time that is unless you allow too many of them in the same lake then they will become stunted for lack of food and eventually a large die off occurs. Sometime Crappie will just stay suspended for days at a time and not rise to the surface, they get lock jaw quite often and you would swear they are not there. The lakes that do not have the 10/9 rule have no limit on Crappie, that means the State knows they are plenty and if no limit does not work to bring about a healty balance then the lake will become a possible target for the introduction of the Musky to eat them up... Thats how it works here!

The state has no interest in that lake. I've lived right next to it for 49 years, spent every day down there when i was a kid and have never seen a fish and game officer there. How come i could stand there all day and catch Crappie one after the next before tons of people started taking everything they could out of there. a couple of years after that not many fish.

Any idea why the water looks like coke with rusty nails dissolved in it? I've never seen a lake with water that dark all the time.
