Lake Aldwell is no more!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alas, they draining the lake. Why do they have to screw things up all the time???
I have been fishing on Aldwell for 30+ years and always thought of it as one of the perfect lakes in Western Washington. It was never crowded, rain or shine. In all this time I have never been skunked, well until today because of lack of water. I don't understand the thinking behind the dams removal. Supposedly to restore the salmon run???? Horse hockey!!! What about all the Dolly Varden that were not legal to keep, and there were some big ones, but it is OK for the Gov to flush thousands of them out to sea??? Anyway I hope that many of you got the chance to fish Aldwell in the past.
IT WILL BE MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This lake will not be missed because it was spawn of destructive dam I am glad its gone maybe there will be some huge 100 pounds kings in the elwah river 10 to 15 years from now. like there where 100 years ago. by the way do your reasearch dollies can be a sea run fish as well I would just worry about the brook trout that they flushed out to the san juans you just have no logic at all. well your loss is my gain.
